Hans Niemann is an American chess player who was born on August 16, 2003. He became a FIDE Master at the age of 10, and a National Master at the age of 11. Niemann has won numerous chess tournaments and has been named United States Chess Federation’s player of the year for his age group multiple times. In 2018, he represented the United States at the World Youth Chess Championships and finished in second place in the under-16 category. Niemann is known for his aggressive playing style and has been praised by top-ranked chess players for his tactical skills.
